Benise Cole

I’m Benise(she/her), I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist specialising in person-centered therapy.

I work in a way that is directed by you – the client. I don’t label or diagnose, I’m not here to tell you what your issues are, I am here to help you explore, learn, and grow through your experiences. I do this by creating a confidential, empathetic, non-judgmental, and honest environment for us to work together towards your personal growth.

Therapy is a space for you to be you.

What I can offer you

I can offer you a safe, confidential space for you to explore your inner thoughts and feelings. A space free of judgement, open, and honest. A space for you to find words and express the things you may struggle to communicate in your everyday life, somewhere you can bring the things you find difficult to share. I'll be here to help and support you through your process.

You're allowed to feel however you feel – because that's how you feel.

My Practice

I specialise in young adults 16 – 30 years of age however I welcome all ages.

I have experience with:

  • Anxiety
  • Shame
  • Depression
  • Loneliness
  • Low self esteem
  • Sexual abuse
  • Addictions
  • Diversity and difference
  • Anger
  • Emotion numbness
  • Trauma
  • Relationship difficulties

I work online via video call or over the phone.

The key to effective therapy is the quality of the relationship between client and therapist. To help achieve this I offer a free, 30-minute meeting/assessment over phone or video call to see how it might be to work together.

Sessions are £60 for 50 minutes, once a week. I offer some reduced-rate slots for lower-income earners.

You can only be you.

How does this all work?

You can can contact me by email or phone, we will then organise a free 30-minute meeting/assessment via phone or video call. This is where you can ask me any question regarding counselling and see how you feel before proceeding. If I feel like I am able to help you and you feel comfortable we will arrange a time for weekly sessions.

In your first session we will discuss a therapy agreement and our expectations for therapy together – this is crucial in creating a safe working environment for both of us.

You are the expert on yourself, you are the only one that knows what it's like to be you.

I am a Registered Member MBACP of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy BACP (registration number 00955557). I adhere to the BACP ethical framework.
